Hutchinson bangs in another

Trialist striker Steve Hutchinson continued to impress in the 2-0 reserve
win at Halifax yesterday, scoring one of The Stags' goals.
The 21-year-old attacker, who plays for nearby non-league club Teversal,
had already scored on his reserve debut before he added another against The
Shaymen, despite still suffering from a knock.
"I've only seen him play twice but he's done very well for us," said
manager Billy Dearden.
"I had a chat with him yesterday and he will train with us two or three
times a week and play another five or six reserve games before we come to a
decision.
"He is a big lad and a brave lad and has a knack for scoring goals. And if
he carries on like he has been he will put the pressure on me to take him
on board here."
After a disappointing first half The Stags stepped up a gear and after
Hutchinson's goal on the hour they clinched the points through a Danny
Holyoak strike.
Danny Bacon and Adam Barrett both came through the 90 minutes, following
injury and illness respectively.
